Wike orders Demolition of hotel Disobeying lock down order. (source from opera news hub)

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has continued his spate of unwarranted mayhem unleashed on Rivers residents since the beginning of the lockdown imposed.

Ever since the incident with the FG as concerns the closure of the Caverton helicopter facility and subsequent involvement of the FG in opening up the facility, Gov wike has turned a brutal enforcer of his own policy in the state.

The governor had imposed a lockdown and also directed all hotels in the state to suspend all services immediately as part of measures to checkmate the growing spread of COVID-19 in the country.

He had also warned residents of very stiff penalties that would follow anyone who discovered any of his orders.

This afternoon, the governor personally supervised the demolition of one Proudest Hotel in Eleme which was reported to have flouted the order and was operating discreetly.

There have been viral videos of the governor stopping motorists and ordering policemen attached to him to arrest those without a valid reason for being on the road and on one occasion, he met a pregnant woman which he let go because of her condition.

The governor also ordered the sales of all confiscated cars, a move that some of his lawyer colleagues have labeled as being too dictatorial and brash.

They have said the move is unconstitutional and will be challenged in court.

This latest move by Gov Wike is uncalled for and to say the least, very disappointing and should be challenged in a law court.
